Our Story
2024
At Manoir we design and curate furniture & objects sourced from artisans globally. Influenced by classic European design, our pieces are lovingly made for us with sustainable materials and hand-finished by expert craftspeople. Our goal is to bring these beautiful pieces to our customers in the U.S. at fair prices – like finding treasure in a French market! Because our style is influenced by the great houses in Europe, we called ourselves Manoir, the French word for manor house.
A brand is born
2015
The brand was born in 2015 when founder Elizabeth Jones, who was living in London at the time, became inspired by the treasure-trove of gorgeous, affordable, French-inspired furniture available in the European market. The photo here, taken in 2014, is of a vignette of French antiques at a market in London.
THE BEGINNING
2017
On July 14, 2017 (France's Bastille Day) Manoir officially opens its metaphorical doors! With our launch, our first sale is our treasured Villecerf Mirror, still a best-seller and Manoir favorite.

2018
in 2018, Manoir hosted its first Pop Up store! Located in the Boston area in Somerville's Bow Market, Manoir's first storefront was a huge success.

I can't believe how quickly it was shipped and when it arrived I can't believe how INCREDIBLY WELL IT WAS PROTECTED AND PACKAGED. Wow!!! When I unearthed it, my heart leapt w joy that it was even more beautiful in person. I was worried the quality may not be there but nope, it was absolutely STUNNING!!! I'm over the moon happy w my purchase. Worth every penny. :)
First shipment had some damage, however a replacement was sent out shortly after. All turned out well. The bust is beautiful.
